Air cadets go into a training camp for 6 weeks during July and August at Yalova Airport Command. Air cadets get used to difficulties of aviation, camping and land conditions with the help of this training in Applied Training Camp. Cadets practice the theoretical information they have received in the academic year. Cadets get knowledge of managing and directing as team commanders. They develop as leaders, trainers and future’ pilots who have tactical and technical knowledge that aviation requires. They learn the basics of military training.

They maximize their understanding of discipline with strong discipline training. By raising the level of their mental and physical skills, they develop features that a pilot must possess such as reflexes elasticity, haste, endurance and the ability to judge, which are very important for a pilot. They are trained as determined fighters for any condition and situation. They are given Infantry Training, Security Training, Hand to hand Fight, Military Culture, Individual Development, Escaping, Rescue and Surviving activities. Air cadets get used to night conditions by night training and maneuvers. They learn the importance of duty service and the physiological features of it.

Cadets shoot according to the instructions to improve their abilities. With the help of maneuvers, they can experience the conditions of a battle and practice what they have learned so far. They reinforce their training about parachutes by parasailing. They get flight training with gliders and get a driver’s license after a driving course. They learn about, units, headquarters, associations and air bases of Turkish Air Forces with the help of programmed trips.
