Objective and Duty of the Department:
Computer Engineering Department is one of the engineering departments in the Turkish Air Force Academy. The basic aim of the department is to train officers that can produce information and technologies that Turkish Air Force Needs, and who can find creative solutions, compete according to international standards, and who are sensitive to global values and fulfilled with professional values.
With this aim the Computer Engineering Department trains officers that can follow, interpret and improve technology which is at home and in the world.
Computer Engineering Department was founded in 1991 to provide personal education according to fulfill the needs of technology field in Turkish Air Force Academy. In accordance with the Council of Higher Education (CHE) standards, an equivalent education program is established like the other universities. Since 2000, cadets graduate as computer engineers.
