MAJOR GENERAL YUSUF ÖZER (5.9.1977-21.8.1980)

 

 

  Maj Gen Yusuf ÖZER was born in İstanbul in 1926.He completed his primary and secondary education in İstanbul. He graduated from Kuleli miitary High school in 1947 and from the Army War Academy in 1949 and then sent to Eskişehir Aviation School.

        After completing his flight training in 1950 he worked as a pilot on different Air Force  Bases. He was assigned to the Air Force Academy           Cadet Squadron .He graduated from Air Force College in 1964, and became the Commander of 11th Reconnaissance Squadron Command.

       In the years of 1966 and 1967 he was assigned as a planning officer at Turkish Air Force Command. Untill 1968 he served as an Air Force attache assistant.

       He was assigned to 1st Air Force Operation Division on September ,1968 to Air Force Academy Chief of Staff on August 18, 1968 , to 6th Main Jet Base Operation Command on September,1970.

      He served as a Vice Superintendent of Air Force Academy between August 30, 1972 and August 28, 1973, as a 5th Main Jet Base Comander untill 1975, as a Chief of Personnel division and Plans and Principles between August 30,1975 and September 9, 1977.

       He served as a Superintendent of Air Force Academy between September 5 1977 and August 21, 1980.

       He retired on August 30,1984 as a Lt General.

MAJOR GENERAL TEVFİK ALPASLAN (23.8.1976-5.9.1977)

 

 

Maj Gen Tevfik ALPARSLAN was born in Göynücek, Amasya in 1926.He completed his primary  education in Gümüş Primary school he graduated from Konya military High school in 1941 and from the Kuleli Military High School in 1944 and then Army War College in 1946 as a Lt.

        After completing his education in AWC he was trained at Çankırı Infantry School ,following this he began his pilot training at Aviation school.After completing his pilot training in 1948 he served in various squadrons as a pilot and graduated from the Air War College in 1957.

              He was assigned to 4th Main Jet Base Command,141st squadron wing Pilot and then to the Operation Officer of the same squadron and became the commander of the same squadron in 1959. Between 1960 and 1962 he served as a Bucharest Air Attache.

      He served as 88th Flight Group Commander in 1962,8th Main Jet Base Operation and Training Department in 1963,3rd Air Force Operation Head Office in 1964, 3rd Air Force Staff Office in 1964 and he took part in the first Cyprus Operation.

       He served in different divisions of the Air Force Command Headquarters 5 years from 1965 to 1970. In this year he was appointed to 3rd Main Jet Base Commandant and in 1971 Air Training Command Staff Office. In 1973 he became the chief of Air Force Operation Head Office. During the second Cyprus Operation he served as the head of the Air Force Command Operation Office.

      He served as a Superintendent of Air Force Academy between August 23,1976 and September 5, 1977

      He retired on August 30,1981 as a Lt General.

MAJOR GENERAL HALİT TOROSLU (21.8.1975-23.8.1976)

 

 

     Maj Gen Halit TOROSLU was born in İstanbul in 1924.He completed his primary and secondary education in İstanbul. After completing his Education in Maltepe Military High school ,he graduated from Army War college in 1945.

        In the same year  he was trained at Çankırı Infantry School for three months and then he was sent to Eskişehir Aviation School. By taking his Flight Bar in 1947 he joined 5th Aeroplane Wing.

        In 1951 he participated in 9th Wing 193rd Squadron of Balıkesir AFB, the first Jet Squadron of TUAF.

        Having been in the USA for five months, he served as an operation officer on 8th AFB and then on the 6th AFB

        He graduated from Air Force College in 1959. Later he was appointed to 143rd squadron Operation Head Office and in 1960 became the commander of the same squadron.

        In the years of 1962 and 1965 he was assigned to Headquarters of TUAF meanwhile he attended to Paris Nato Defense College .

        He was assigned to 6th Main Jet Base Opeartion and Training Head Office in 1965, to the first Air Force Staff Office in 1967, to 9th Main Jet Base Command in 1968.

         He served as a Moscow Armed Forces Attache between 1969 and 1971, after that he was in General Staff Headquarters, later in  TUAF Intelligence Head Office and in 1973 he served as a vice superintendent of Air Training Command.      

         He served as a Superintendent of Air Force Academy between August 21, 1975 and August 23, 1976.

         He retired on August 30,1985 as a  General.

MAJOR GENERAL HALİL SÖZER (19.8.1974-21.8.1975)

 

Maj Gen Halil SÖZER was born in Gemlik  in 1923.He completed his primary and secondary education in Gemlik. He graduated from Bursa Mlitary High school in 1943 and Army War college in 1945.He was sent to Çankırı Infantry school as a Lt.

     In 1945 he began his pilot training in Eskişehir Aviation School and in 1947 by taking his flight bar he was stationed in Bursa 5th Aeroplane Wing. Since then for seven years he was a flight instructor and wing commander. And since 1957 he worked on the 1st Air Base as a Jet pilot.

      He graduated from Air Force College in 1959. Later he was appointed to 8th Air Base 182nd Squadron Operation Head Office and in 1960 became the commander of the same squadron.  

       Later he was appointed to 3rd  Air Force Operation Head Office and 1960 became an instructor in the Air War College. For that reason between August 1962 and February 1963 had an Academic Instructor Course in the USA.

       On August 27, 1965 he was named as 9th Main Jet Base Operation and Trainig Division. On September 9,1966 Air Force Command personnel Supply and Training Group Head Office. On August 1,1967 he attended the the first term of NATO Defense College in Italy. On September 1, 1967 he became the Chief of Air Force Command Plans and Principles Division.

        On August 30, 1968 he was promoted to Brigadier General and in 1970 to the Commander of Air Force Command Personnel Division.And on August 30, 1973 he became the head of the Air War Colloge.

       He served as a Superintendent of Air Force Academy between August 19, 1974 and August 21, 1975.

       He retired on August 30,1986 as a  General.

MAJOR GENERAL REFİK IŞITMAN (29.8.1973-19.8.1974)

 

 

 Maj Gen Refik IŞITMAN was born in İstanbul  in 1925.He completed his primary and secondary education in Konya.He graduated from Bursa Military High school in 1942 and Army War college in 1944.He was sent to Çankırı Infantry school as a Lt.And in 1944 he started his pilot training in Eskişehir Aviation School.

     In 1947 he completed his pilot training in Eskişehir Aviation School. Between 1949 and 1951 he served at 10th Aeroplane Wing in Afyon.

     From 1951 to 1956 he served at 1st Base Squadrons and worked as a Statistics Officer on the same base. Meanwhile on March 1, 1955 he attended to the Squadron Officer Course in the USA for five months.

     Later he was appointed to 8th Base 183rd Squadron Command beginning from 1958, he became the Head of the Control Committee on the same base

     On June 29,1959 he was appointed to TUAFA as a battalion commander.Meanwhile he was trained at NATO Defence College in Paris.

     Between 1960 and 1962 he completed his Air War College Training. On September 15, 1962 he was appointed to TUAFA Training Division.

     On August 30, 1966 he was promoted to Brigadier General and became the Commander of 3th Main Jet Training Base .

     On August 30, 1968 he became the Commander of Air Force Airmen Training Brigade . By promoting to Lt Gen in 1970 he became Vice Commander of the 1st Air Force Command.

     He served as a Superintendent of Air Force Academy between August 29,1974 and August 19, 1974.

     He retired on August 30,1979 as a Lt General.

MAJOR GENERAL TAHSİN ŞAHİNKAYA (28.8.1972-29.8.1973)

 

 

 Maj Gen Tahsin ŞAHİNKAYA  was born in Merzifon in 1925. Upon completing his primary and first two years of secondary education in Merzifon he entered the last grade of Konya military secondary school. He graduated from Bursa Military High school in 1941 and from the Army War Academy in 1943

        After completing his three-month infantry shooting training in Çankırı ,he joined the Air Force Academy in Eskişehir.Later he completed his pilot training in the USA in 1945.

      On February 1, 1946 he became an instructor pilot in Eskişehir and then went to the USA for Air Photographing Course. On his return to homeland he founded The Air Photographing School in Eskişehir.

      He graduated from Air Force College on August 30, 1957. He worked on 3rd Air Force Intelligence Department as a Photograph Evaluating Officer.

In 1958 he was assigned to 44th Flight group, 143rd Squadran Operation Center.

     On August 15, 1960 he was on duty at General Staff Air Operation Division

During this period he was assigned to AIRSOUTH Napoly Headquarters for the on the job training.

     On October 4, 1961 he became the Chief of 4th Air Base Operation and Training Division.Between September 3, 1962 and September 30, 1964 he served as an intructor at the Air Force College.

     Having been appointed to AIRSOUTH Napoly Headquarters on September 30, 1964 , he was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in 1966.

     On September 22, 1966 he became the Commander of 6th Main Jet Base following this, the commander of Air force College in 1969.

     He served as a Superintendent of Air Force Academy between August 28,1972 and August 29, 1973.

     He retired on December 6, 1983 as a general.
